Privacy Policy
Studio Chairman · published by sater
Effective 25 August 2026 · Last updated 25 August 2026
The short version
Studio Chairman has no servers of its own. It does not create an account, and it never asks for your name, email address or phone number.
Your saved game, your play statistics and your settings live only in this app’s private storage on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere.
The game is free, and advertising pays for it. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob, which is a separate company with its own privacy policy — and it does receive data from your device in order to choose and count ads.
That is the whole trade. The rest of this page is the detail.
1. Who is responsible
This app is published by sater (“we”, “us”). For anything on this page, write to sater.studios@gmail.com.
This policy covers the Android application Studio Chairman
(package com.sater.studiochairman), version 1.0.0 and later. It does not cover
other apps, or any website you may reach from a link.
2. What stays on your device
The following never leaves your phone. We cannot see it, and there is no copy of it anywhere else:
| Data | What it is |
|---|---|
| Saved game | Studio name, chairman name, family and studio progress. These are names you invent, not personal details. |
| Play statistics | Plain counters — how many weeks you advanced, which screens you opened, how far you reached. Numbers only. |
| Settings | Sound, haptics, autosave interval, appearance choices. |
| Ad-removal flag | A single true/false value recording whether you bought the ad removal. |
You can switch play statistics off, erase them, or delete your saved game at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data. That screen also has a See my data button that prints everything the app has stored about you, verbatim, so you never have to take this page on trust.
3. Advertising
Ads are served by Google AdMob. To choose an ad and count that it was shown, Google may collect and use:
- your device’s advertising ID (a resettable identifier, not your name);
- device information such as model, operating system version and language;
- a coarse region inferred from your network — country or area level, not a precise location;
- interaction with the ad — whether it was shown, viewed or tapped.
We never see that data. It goes to Google, not to us. What reaches us is anonymous totals: how many ads were shown, and how much revenue resulted.
Google’s handling of that data is governed by its own policies:
Ad formats used
Studio Chairman shows interstitial ads at natural breaks — between story chapters, at the turn of an in-game year, and after a film’s result. It never interrupts a scene or a decision. It also offers rewarded ads that you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game favour; these are entirely optional, and declining them costs you nothing.
The app does not use banner ads or app-open ads.
4. Your advertising choices
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland
Before any ad loads, you are shown a consent form provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform, and asked to choose. Your choice is stored by Google, not by us.
You can change that choice at any time: Settings → Privacy & Data → Ad privacy choices.
Anywhere
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android: Settings → Google → Ads. On recent Android versions you can delete the advertising ID entirely, after which apps receive a string of zeros.
The simplest option is also available: buying the ad removal stops the ads, and with them the ad requests.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA/CPRA, the use of an advertising ID for personalised advertising may be treated as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, and we never have. To opt out, use the Android advertising-ID controls above, decline personalised ads where the consent form is offered, or buy the ad removal.
5. Purchases
Studio Chairman offers one optional purchase: a permanent removal of ads.
The transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. This app never sees your card number, billing address, or any payment detail. All the app stores is a single true/false flag on your device recording that the purchase exists.
All seven story chapters are free whether you buy it or not. The purchase buys quiet, not progress.
Google’s handling of the payment is covered by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
6. What we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number or postal address.
- No precise location. (Only the coarse region the ad network infers.)
- No contacts, photos, files or microphone access.
- No crash-reporting or analytics service of any kind. The play statistics described in section 2 are computed and stored on your device and are never transmitted.
- Nothing whatsoever about your saved game.
7. Children
Studio Chairman is a business-management game aimed at teenagers and adults, and is not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app asks for no personal information from anyone, it asks for none from children either. The app is not enrolled in Google Play’s Designed for Families programme.
If you believe a child has provided information through this app, write to sater.studios@gmail.com and we will act on it.
8. Keeping and deleting data
Because your data never leaves your device, deletion is entirely in your hands:
- Erase play statistics — Settings → Privacy & Data → Erase stats.
- Delete your saved game — Settings → Save & Data → Delete saved game.
- Remove everything — uninstall the app. Nothing survives it, because there is no copy anywhere else.
Note that your purchase is recorded by Google Play, not by us. Uninstalling does not cancel it, and you can restore it on a new device with Settings → Ads → Restore purchase.
To ask about data held by Google as the ad provider, use Google’s own privacy controls.
9. Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection.
In practice, for this app, most of those rights you exercise directly on your own device using the controls in section 8 — we cannot access, export or delete data we never receive.
Where Google acts as an independent controller for advertising data, direct such requests to Google using the links in section 3.
The lawful bases we rely on are consent (for personalised advertising in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) and legitimate interests (for showing non-personalised ads and for keeping the app working).
10. Security
Data stored by the app sits in Android’s private per-app storage, which the operating system isolates from other apps. Saved games are additionally obfuscated and checksummed to resist casual tampering. Network traffic to the ad and billing services is encrypted in transit by those services.
No method of storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
11. Changes to this policy
If the app’s behaviour changes, this page changes with it — in the same release, not after it. The Last updated date at the top always reflects the behaviour of the current published version.
Material changes will also be reflected in the in-app privacy screen, which is written to match this page.
